Meet the owner of Panadura’s busiest tiffin service

For years, a small family-run tiffin service in Panadura supplied fresh meals to offices, schools, and local businesses. As demand grew, the owner faced a common challenge shared by many Sri Lankan SMEs: expanding operations without disrupting daily cash flow.

After securing an equipment loan of LKR 1.2 million, the business invested in commercial kitchen equipment, improved production capacity, and expanded its delivery network. Two years later, the company has successfully completed repayments and created twelve new employment opportunities within the community.

This story highlights how access to the right financing at the right time can help local entrepreneurs scale sustainably while contributing to regional economic growth.
